Paul Ewan Wilson

Paul is incredibly happy to be working with Heather and everyone at the Stephenville Theatre Festival for the first time! Trained as an actor at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia, Paul worked extensively in Melbourne and Ontario before relocating with his family to Newfoundland. Work here includes 6 seasons with Perchance Theatre at Cupids in various roles including: Mark Antony (Julius Caesar), Florindo (The Servant of Two Masters), Trigorin (The Seagull), Oberon (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Clarence (Richard III), Orsino (Twelfth Night), Capulet (Romeo & Juliet), and Macbeth (Macbeth). Other recent stage roles include: Lady Lungley/Fairy Cod-mother (Seal Slippers – RCAT), Joseph Buquet (The Phantom of the Opera – OOTA), Dan (The Valley – New Curtain Theatre), Mr. Wormwood (Matilda – PMP), Buddy (We Will Rock You – TaDa!), Widow Rhubarb (Tangly – RCAT), Leap (Leave of Absence – New Curtain Theatre), Jackie “Dad” Elliot (Billy Elliot – Atlantic Light), Pip/Theo Wexler (Three Days of Rain – Sweetline), Lonny (Rock of Ages – TaDa!), and Dr. Fine (Next to Normal – Best Kind). Having appeared in numerous short films, commercials, and two episodes of CBC’s Republic of Doyle, Paul can be seen in the recurring role of Vanstone on all 3 seasons of the TV series, Frontier, streaming through Crave TV in Canada, and worldwide through Netflix – and premiering in July, you can see Paul in the recurring role of Anthony Tamblyn in the new SyFy show, SurrealEstate.
